Black Animated film 'Hair Love'

#TBT From AUGUST 2017 my post about HAIR LOVE that was just announced yesterday as being picked up by SONY PICTURES ANIMATION.🙌🏾🖤 You can read more about that @ the new link @ the bottom and also @ the Link in my BIO☝🏾 REPOST: When the short film #HairLove was announced a month ago I knew I had to be a part of it.❤️ 'Hair Love', is a 5 minute animated short film that centers around the relationship between an African-American father, Stephen, his daughter, Zuri and her hair. It's a story about an African American father trying to do his daughters hair for the first time. As the creator of this project @matthewacherry put it, "I've had the idea for this project for a couple of years now, but it wasn't until I recently started coming across a lot of viral videos of black fathers interacting with their sons and daughters online that I finally had the confidence to try and make this a real thing." See this story is ALL TOO REAL to me. One morning☀️before school, I TRIED to do my daughter's hair and it was an EPIC FAIL!🤦🏾‍♂️ I tried to do her hair the way I'd seen her mother do it dozens of times, but I was failing miserably and her school bus 🚌 was due to arrive soon.🙇🏾 I eventually put something together, but I wouldn't call it a hairstyle or "done". 🤦🏾‍♂️ She made her bus, but I felt so bad for her that day.😥😔 After that, the only thing I did with her hair was grease her scalp after it was braided (pictured, top left) and I did that WELL! 👌🏾LOL On a last note: Any resemblance between the shirt color of the animated father and mine I'm sure is pure coincidental. 'Marshall' movie review

BELOW is my Instagram review of the 2017 film Marshall, starring Chadwick Boseman, reposted by the film's director on HIS Instagram.

 SYNOPSIS: Young Thurgood Marshall faces one of his greatest challenges while working as a lawyer for the NAACP. Marshall travels to conservative Connecticut when wealthy socialite Eleanor Strubing accuses black chauffeur Joseph Spell of sexual assault and attempted murder. He soon teams up with Sam Friedman, a local Jewish lawyer who's never handled a criminal case. Together, the two men build a defense while contending with racist and anti-Semitic views from those who deem Spell to be guilty.

#Repost @dankwa ・・・ #MarshallMovie Review: Straight up and down, I enjoyed this movie far more than I thought I would. The trailers did not do the film justice in my opinion and the full film is far better. Director REGINALD HUDLIN, who did a great job with the period setting, crafted this movie like a superhero tale. The hero is up against insurmountable odds and he has his trusty sidekick to help him out of this latest debacle. This is NOT a #ThurgoodMarshall BioPic, but a “case in the life”. In comic parlance, I’ve heard this called an “origin story” and that’s exactly what it was. What sold this picture for me were the performances. They were really good to terrific! The lead prosecutor played by DAN STEVENS, in a really good performance, didn’t come off as a mustache twirling racist and neither did the judge, played by the always brilliant JAMES CROMWELL. The “defense table” of CHADWICK BOSEMAN, JOSH GAD and STERLING K. BROWN each were terrific! I wanted to see this movie, but I kinda didn’t know what to expect. It’s really good and I think young and old will enjoy it.
